SFTA Policies and Procedures

Lesson Procedures

All lessons are 60 minutes long, except Adult Cardio which is 90 minutes. The coach will post the court location in the app group each week. Students/Parents should let the coach know whether or not they will be attending the lesson by commenting in the correct app group. Students should bring their own racket to each lesson. 



Students may make-up a lesson in the following conditions:

  • Student Cancellation: Student’s may make up a lesson if they inform their coach they will not be in attendance at least 24 hrs before the lesson start time. 

  • Cancellation due to weather

  • Cancellation by the coach 

Students may make up a lesson by joining a different group. Unfortunately none of our subscription based packages are refundable. 



The weather is an important factor and the safety of the students and coaches is our highest priority. The following reasons constitute a “weather cancellation”: 

  • Active rain or high winds at the time of the lesson

  • Wet courts

  • A weather report of an impending storm or bad weather an hour before the lesson. 

Coaches will make a decision and post any cancellations in the lesson app group an hour before the lesson start time. 



Effective communication between parents, students, and their coach is crucial when it comes to attending lessons or summer camps. In the event that a student is unable to participate, it is the responsibility of the parents and students to inform the coach in advance. To qualify for a makeup session, such communication should occur at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson. Please note that makeup sessions will not be provided for lessons canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time. We strictly adhere to this policy to ensure fairness and efficiency.

Please be aware that our summer camp coaches are scheduled for the entire season up to one month before the first camp begins. Therefore, refunds will not be issued after May 1st. However, we are more than willing to assist you in rescheduling if necessary. Our aim is to provide the best possible service and accommodate your needs whenever possible.

Student Expectations

Students are expected to be on time to lessons. 

Students should dress appropriately for the lesson and the weather. 

Students' behavior is important to the success of the lesson. Students are expected to follow the coaches directions and act appropriately during the lesson. Coaches are responsible for teaching and should not have to continually correct behavior. If a student has continued behavior issues, SFTA reserves the right to ask that student not to return to lessons. 


Students need to be registered on the SFTA website before starting lessons. Once registered, you will be billed on the same day each month. This means that the student will either get 4 or 5 lessons per month, depending on how the days fall. Students/Parents are responsible for stopping their subscription by contacting SFTA admin and asking them to cancel the subscription. No refunds will be given for charges made if cancellation was not communicated within 24 hrs of the charge. If your student will not be able to take lessons every week, payment through invoice is an option. Contact for more information. Payment for lessons is due before the lesson takes place.


How long are classes?

All classes are 60 minutes long except for Adult Cardio which is 90 minutes. 

How do I register for classes?

You can register for classes on this website by clicking "Plans and Prices." Once there, select the correct plan and register.You will need to register each student separately. 

Will I receive a confirmation of my purchase?

Yes you will receive a confirmation email. 

How often will I be billed?

Once registered, you will be billed on the same day each month until canceled

How does the "Free Trial" work?

The "Free Trial" functions as a rebate. If you do not wish to continue lessons after your first lesson, you can cancel your subscription and get a full refund. It does not matter how much time passes between the time you registered and your first lesson. Once a second lesson has been attended the "free trial" is over. 

How can I communicate with my coach?

Coach's and student's communicate through the Spaces App. Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to download the app. Once downloaded, you simply find your class and request to join. If you do not see your class or if you are not approved to enter the group within 2 days, please email


Can I create a private group or start a new public group?

Yes! If you have a group of 4 students, we can get a new group started.
